The ancient city of Anuradhapura is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. It was once the capital of the Sinhalese kingdom and is considered to be one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, with a history dating back to the 4th century BCE.
